Drawing is a form of visual art in which various drawing instruments are used to illustrate and express the intention of the artist. The drawing influences the imagination and generates an image by capturing that which the person sees, although it also creates an image out of blank space (semi-symbolic imagery). Drawing exists at the intersection of both art and photography. The realist tradition typically depicts humans with two (three or more) arms and faces, while figurative, abstract, or surrealists create bodies of work (zines, paintings, drawings, sculptures, collages) made of many bodies and usually with vaguely expressed ideas or symbolic imagery.*
